Priory Concert Series 2019

The Priory’s programme of concerts for 2019, kindly sponsored by Kirbys Solicitors, features a wide range of singers, instrumentalists, styles and genres.

Saturday 11 May                     ‘Songs of Love and Marriage and Trial by Jury.’

Aireborough Gilbert & Sullivan Society. Songs and choruses from ‘The Gondoliers’, ‘The Sorcerer’, ‘The Mikado’ and ‘HMS Pinafore’ on the theme of Love and Marriage, followed by a staged performance of ‘Trial by Jury’.


Saturday 8 June                      ‘of Time and Place’

Cantabile – chamber choir and Katy Kelly – soprano, present a programme of music for a summer’s evening. The programme includes music from the past 800 years featuring works by Perotin, Whitacre, Gabrieli and Elgar.


Saturday 22 June                    ‘Words and Music for a Summer’s Evening’

For this return visit Geoff Druett is joined by Hannah Crerar, mezzo-soprano, who studied at the Royal College of Music, and Miles Taylor, bass-baritone from Birmingham Conservatoire. Accompanist will be the Priory Church Director of Music, Tim Raymond.


Saturday 13 July   Kate Williams’ Four Plus Three meets Georgia Mancio: ‘Finding Home’

An award winning team of leading UK artists: pianist/composer Kate Williams and vocalist/lyricist Georgia Mancio perform a collection of songs, old and newly co-written, for jazz trio, string quartet and voice linked by the concept of ‘home’.


All concerts at 7.30pm in the Priory Church. Wine and soft drinks are served in the interval.
