Visitors from France
    • Visitors to the Priory are very welcome. In fact, we have over 100,000 visitors a year, from all around the world!
    • The Priory Church is open from 8.00 am until 5.30 pm or dusk (whichever is later), seven days a week. Details of our precise location can be found here.
    • Unless attending a service or special event, visitors should park in the Bolton Abbey Village car park (parking charge), which is a 3 minute walk away.
    • During the summer months, there is usually a member of the Welcome Team on duty, who will be pleased to demonstrate particular features of the church and answer your questions.
    • We have quizzes for children in English and a number of European languages, asking them to spot many of the unusual or interesting items around the church building.
    • We also have guide leaflets for adults in a number of languages.
    • The Priory Church and its interior is wheelchair accessible.
    • The nearest toilet facilities are next to the Village car park.
  • Groups
    • Groups are of course equally welcome. We have experience in providing guided tours for organised groups, including school parties and those with special needs. We may also be able to provide guides in other European languages. Please let us know your requirements well in advance, by contacting the Church Office.
